The mission of the American Red Cross, an
organization built upon the unwavering spirit of the
American people, has always been to help people help
themselves.
The willingness of the
people of the American Red Cross to accept the
challenges confronting a fast changing society has
brought about an explosion of social services from
disaster relief to blood services, from first aid
programs to swimming lessons to assistance programs for
the elderly to HIV/AIDS education. We are an
organization that is always prepared, yet constantly
reviewing the needs of the community and seeking
innovative ways to meet them.
